i know it's been well over a month since the arts and crafts show, but since it is victor's and my favorite day here, i thought to go ahead and post more photos.

it's become victor's "thing" now to play guitar at the arts cafe during the arts and crafts show. the first year he played some background music. last year he played wtih another guitarist and a singer. this year he was with a bigger band complete with sax.

meanwhile hoda was in the kitchen helping with the meals













and neda and matt enjoyed the show.

a new craft

for the art show this year i thought i'd try my hand at a new craft, something non-photo related. while i was in oklahoma i came across some really cool retro-print paper and decided to make greeting cards. with the help of a few rubber stanmps i made cards that i thought bwc staff could use: happy birthday, thank you and i miss you cards in *english* because all you find in shops around here are cards in hebrew. i had so much fun making them. i think i found myself a new little craft.

(screeching tire halt) before the artshow a huge event happened: my best friend bita became a mother! she and her husband became the proud parents of little layla alicia garza. i'm so excited for bita, despite the scary adjustments she's making and so thrilled for layla who's been born to the most loving and caring parents she could ever find.

back in business

ok, a lot lot lot has happened since my last posting and even before that. when i started this blog i promised myself that i wouldn't try to chronicle everything but rather just sort of give a glimpse as to what was going on during any give day or period. however, some of things have been too big not to mention, including our family's favorite annual event at the BWC: the arts and crafts show.... (by the way, for those wanting to see more of alyah, i'm happy to inform you that i'm in the process of creating her own blog where you'll find highlights of her day to days). ok.. so quick flashback to february...
