guess whose cousin's in town?

since the moment aliyah's 5-year old cousin, juliet, came to town, she has been in heaven. they play so well together and you can already see the admiration in aliyah's eyes.
victor's sister, claudia, and her husband, navid, are in the holy land on pilgrimage and a short visit. it's so nice to have them here and spend time together catching up. it's especially nice to see the freindship develop between these two cousins who've just met for the first time.

sleep talker

last night at 2:33am i was lying in bed awake and i hear a loud "uh oh!" out of aliyah's room. then complete silence. not a whimper, not a sigh, no indication that she'd woken up. funny how someone who has a 15-word vocabulary still manages to talk in her sleep.

my retreat

i'm having the greatest time in sante fe seeing martha and sabz and hangin out with the rest of their awesome family.
